Almost all the existing refrigeration equipment is removed along with all the parts associated with the diesel engine. It is then pressure washed. A new scroll transport compressor is installed in place of any existing one. The existing condenser piping is changed to make it standard. Solenoid valves are replaced with new valves. A new oil seperator, accumulator and filter/dryer assembly is installed. All the new refrigeration equipment is installed in the lower half of the unit to provide a clean refrigeration system that is easy to understand and repair by any qualified refrigeration mechanic. A new controller is also installed using new contact relays. In other words, your converted unit will give you years of dependable service for less money and expense than a new one from Thermo King or Transicold. The added advantage of a converted unit is the savings in fuel, weight and maintenance. Another advantage is that fact that you already own the unit and any rebuilding of it is considered "maintenance". The engine and compressor, if still in the unit, are returned if desired.
